How to propagate plants
Here's the deal! Plant shelves and propagation with vases are a way to display beautiful greenery and grow plants for free! Designed for whether you're a plant newbie (like I was last year!) or a green thumb.
Not sure where to start? We got you covered. Inside each propagation shelf is a small guide on how to start propagating. So we thought with the launch of the Little Shelf Co it might be helpful to have it on the internet too. Ya know in case you need to do a quick Google search.
The propagation and plant shelves are functional without breaking the bank or compromising on beautiful home decor. Snap one or two up and get propagating!
Plants to propagate with: I love to use Pothos and Snake plants. They are easy peasey and will grow quickly.
- Take a plant cutting and use clean and sharp scissors
- Add plant boost from @plant_vitamins to the water (I add to the tubes but plain old water that you change every 3-5 days works just fine most times).
- Fill the tube up to about 1 cm from the top. (Sometimes I add the water with the tube in the shelf and other times I fill it before) *Make sure the shelf stays dry to prevent damage and swelling.
- Add the plant cutting to the water and then pull up a chair and watch. Haha kidding! The propagation will only grow when you aren’t watching.
